1/72 Parthian

Well, this tag, 1/72 Parthian, shows in fact the ancient Cataphracts, heavy armoured cavalry used by many ancient nations, and even for the late Roman Empire, who after years of fought them as enemies, finally adopted the same heavy cavalry, a prelude (several centuries earlier) of the medieval armoured cavalry.
The first sets released were probably the LW ones, unfortunately they are very bad quality ones, and then Hät make their two sets in 2005, a great notice for all of us. Quality of one sets, it’s many times, conditioned but their opponents, in his time, the Hät sets, were many times better than LW ones, and they got high rates in PSR site. One year later, Orion presented his set, and we must said, it’s poor against Hät sets. In 2007 MiniArt did their Late Roman Cavalry set, which in fact, are Cataphracts (part of the poses). For our personal taste, poses in the MiniArt box, are quite better than the Hät boxes (specially horses), and don’t forget that both Hät boxes haves the same horses !!, but PSR rate Hät poses as so good or even better in one the boxes, and MiniArt got less points in pose number, even if they have one more pose than one of the Hät boxes, and the same than the other (mounted poses).
Finally in 2009, Zvezda released their Cataphracts box, which beat, by far, all the other competitors.
Some times, PSR ratings can be taken as the bible of the 1/72 scale plastic figures, watch the figures, think in your project, and take your own decision.
