Description:

Fokker Dr. I
ProfiPACK

ProfiPACK edition kit of a German WWI triplane fighter aircraft Fokker Dr.I in 1/72 scale.

Kit includes PE detail parts, paint mask and decal sheet with 5 markings.

Originally the base for this kit was tooled in 1997 and has been updated and released several times by Eduard as well as under Smer and Sabrekits brands.

As many other WWI airplanes, the kits consists of few parts, around 40 plastic parts plus the PE (photo-etched sheet), but assembly of the WWI airplanes model kits is always some tricky, though riding of this triplane is not particularly complex and instructions sheet provides a page with the detail of the ridging, though no parts are provided for it.

In the five markings included in the decal sheet, the kit includes two markings for Manfred von Richthofen, the famous Red Baron, including the popular all red aircraft, considered the ace-of-aces of the war with 80 credited wins before be killed in 21 April 1918 still in unclear circumstances of who exactly killed him, after he engaged in combat two Canadian Sopwith Camel.
