This week we have been adding all the Revell combination boxes, mostly launched in the mid 90’s ahead, with a few exceptions which could enter in this sub-category launched later. The original series comprises code numbers from 03150 to 03165 and always contains one scale model and one figure set. All the boxes are labeled as 1/72 but many of them contains 1/76 ex-Matchbox models.
We could include also in this subcategory codes 3200 to 3203 although not all of them use the formula of 1 model + figures.
Code 03189 could also fit this categorization.
Most of them are very hard to find nowadays, and many times, they are very expensive because this reason. So they are mainly an addition for collectors or nostalgics, but in its day they was a great opportunity to pick a model+figures some cheaper than the 2 boxes separated.
Considering all the code numbers listed above, this is the full list:
If you see one available, and you want it, don’t wait too much.
In the following weeks we’ll also add the ESCI combination kits, ESCI used the same formula before Revell, and nowadays, as they are older and harder to find, they are true nice and expensive pieces for collectors.
