German 128mm Flak 40 heavy Anti-Aircraft Gun Type 2

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII anti-aircraft gun Flak 40, a heavy gun of 128mm. The barrel had to be removed for transport, later carriage was simplified assuming they would always bolted to concrete when in firing positions, so the gun was only used on defensive positions.

Flak 40 were mounted on the famous FlaK Towers defending Berlin and other cities. Also a twin gun variant Flakzwilling 40/2 was used. Same gun was used to create the 12.8 cm PaK 40 which though dismissed was mounted in the two Sturer Emil prototypes.
