Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. M48 Patton tank in a West Germany specific variant M48 A2 GA2.

This kit is a variant of kit ESCI – 8322 – M48 A2, see the parent kit ESCI – 8322 – M48 A2 with comments about all the shared parts which are the most of the kit.

The M48 A2 GA2 was a West Germany upgrade of the A2 variant, which upgraded the main gun to a L7A3 105mm cannon instead the original 90mm and added a ring mounted MG3 machine gun in the commander’s cupola. This changes the cupola parts, the main gun and mantlet and also adds smoke grenade launchers on the turret sides. Few other details in the turret also changes and it also mounts its own different spot light over the gun.

The configuration of the wheels for this kit is 3 return rollers and no tension idler wheel between the last road wheel and the drive sprocket.
