German Tank Pz. Kpfw. II F

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII light tank Panzer II, F variant.

This kit was originally tooled in 1974. Kit consists of 63 parts which is a decent number for a small tank as the Panzer II, and considering that this number, 63, includes a commander figure which is split in 3 parts, and the two awful single piece tracks provided by the kit, which are the main odd.

Some of the parts are really small and need to be carefully pulled out of the sprue.

The kit was included in the initial ESCI-Ertl catalogue in 1988 but code number was not updated. As other ESCI kits it appeared also under ESCI-Revell and Hasegawa brands during 70s and in more recent times was re-released by Italeri as Italeri – 7059 – Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. F and by the Russian brand Modelist.

So many years after, the kit remains being an acceptable kit, though better Panzer II have been produced later and you may want to replace tracks if you want to use this kit.
