X-3 Stiletto prototype

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Douglas X-3 Stiletto experimental jet aircraft of the 50s. Designed to research sustained supersonic flights in Mach.2 the prototype was a disappointment not even able to sustain Mach.1 speeds but lessons and design were used in the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter which was a very successful Match.2 fighter.
