Description:

Austrian Uhlans
(1805-1815 Years)

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting Austrian Uhlans during Napoleonic Wars. Uhlans were lanciers cavalry units of Lithuanian and Polish origin that other armies in Europe copied. Despite lance was in origin the main weapon, swords and carbines were also common.

This box contains 15 figures, 12 of them mounted in 4 different poses and one foot pose x3. Horses (12) are in 4 different poses. Weapons are detached in a separate sprue.

While the weapons sprue are full of flash and remove the weapons in a clean way is a hard work, the figures are pretty clean, at least in the initial batches of the production and at the time, without doubt, was one of the best Mars sets in terms of both sculpture, detail and mould. Sadly this was not a trend in future kits.
