Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII Sd.Kfz.11 half-track, designed as prime mover for a wide range of WWII guns, anti-tank guns and anti-aircraft guns from the 3.7 cm FlaK 43 anti-aircraft gun up to the 10.5 cm leFH 18 field howitzer, PaK 40 AT gun, Nebelwerfer 41 and many others. Almost 9000 units were produced including several specific and specialized variants.

The kit is quite correct and detailed, though interior detail is pretty basic. The two figures included are not up to today standards. The initial releases till the ESCI-Ertl release included ugly single piece tracks, replaced by link-and-length tracks in 1989. This link and length tracks are also included in the Italeri reissues of the kit.

Despite the Sd.Kfz.11 was employed in all the fronts during all the war, only other manufacturer paid attention to this subject in 1/72 scale. Nowadays, the best Sd.Kfz.11 kit in our scale is the Special Armour one, Special Armour – SA72002 – Sd.Kfz.11 leichter Zugkraftwagen 3t. The brand also produces a Pak 40 or a Nebelwerfer 41 which can be towed by this vehicle.
