Description:

Zouaves

Unpainted plastic soldiers in 1/72 scale depicting French Zouaves during the Crimean War. The box states also they are valid for the later Franco Prussian war. Certainly the uniform did not changed in this time, but the weapons did, and the set include half of the figures with M1842 rifle (suitable for Crimea) and half with the later Chassepot suitable for Franco Prussian War.

Differences on the rifles are for the very exigent, if you are not, these figures can be used also in the American Civil War except for the officer figure.

Box contains 50 figures in 14 different poses. Sculpture and cast level is paired with other Emhar sets, very good, but the set contains a maybe excessive number of figures in some odd poses, as are those wounded or just waving sword and rifle. Initial examples of the set were cast in a vivid red color, later replaced by a blue color.
